Buying guide

How to choose a cupola by building type.

Different structures need different cupola choices. The right answer depends on building width, roof pitch, ridge length, viewing distance, and how visible the roofline is from the road.

Sheds & Garages

Smaller buildings need right-sized cupolas that add character without feeling too tall or heavy. Start with 24 inch and 30 inch directions for compact structures.

Homes & Estates

Residential rooflines need a cupola that feels intentional with the architecture. Select and Signature styles often fit homes, farmhouses, and estate garages best.

Pole Barns

Post-frame buildings usually need enough size to break up long, simple roof planes. Many common barn widths fall into the 36 inch to 48 inch planning range.

Barndominiums

Because the building is also a home, proportion and finish matter more. Window-panel looks and refined trim can help the cupola feel architectural instead of added on.

Horse Barns

Equestrian rooflines often benefit from traditional scale, weathervane readiness, and optional airflow planning. Long stables may need more than one cupola.

Large Barns & Arenas

Long ridges and venue-scale buildings need stronger visual presence. Plan around 48 inch to 72 inch cupolas, quantity, spacing, and sightlines from the ground.
